Boy Oh Boy!

Hello. ;o)
Here is my DT card for this week's Dottie World "Boy Oh Boy" challenge. Lou from DW designed another adorable collection of digi-stamps called "Boy Oh Boy" and wanted us to use them this week.
I decided to use this adorable little boy doing a cartwheel. I printed him on Magna CS with my Canon pixma printer-and then colored him in with my copics.
I made this card for my little nephew who is turning 6 this month. He's such an active little guy so as soon as I saw this image I knew I had to use it. Ashton has really dark hair-so I went in and used warm grey 01/03/06 .
The paper is discontinued K&Company.
The sentiments are from a brand new not yet released Close To My Heart stamp set.
Make sure you stop over at DW to see what the other designer's came up with. :o)

I also used this fabby friday sketcher's sketch #7. I have sooooo many sketches sitting on my mac desktop that I keep meaning to use.....so this sketch is a few weeks old-but still so very fabby. ;o)

MIA?....not quite-but here is my TS Challenge #21

Hello. ;o)
Long time no post. I've been semi-missing in action.
a couple of weeks ago my hubby surprised me with a fabby shopping trip in Chicago-my new favorite US city. And then upon our return, he asked me to help him set up an HR dept. for our small manufacturing company. Or should I say...become the HR department...lol anyways, I've been working hard helping him out.

I missed a couple of my DT challenges...which makes me sooooo sad. So I promised myself that I would get the cards done-even if they were late. So here is the card I made for the TS challenge #21. I especially wanted to complete this card bc I LOVE the sketch. If you don't already do TS challenges-you should stop by and check it out! We have the BEST sponsors who always offer the cutest stamps/digi's to the winner of the challenge!
Debbie-our GD made the fabby sketch and asked us to add a bling flourish.....:o)))
Here is the fabby sketch:

Here are the complete details for my card:
The paper is My Mind's Eye-Bloom and Grow
The image is Magnolia and colored in with copics. I also used a clear spica copic pen on Tilda's hair for a bit of soft luster. You can't see it in the photo but it looks really pretty on the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabby Friday. ;o)

Dottie's World Challenge

Hello and Happy Sunday!
It's another challenge day at DW today and The exceptional Gunn is hosting this week.....and did she dream up a challenge!!!
Here is what she wants:

"When I say gingerbreadhouse I mean: lets be inspired by them. They have this beautiful warm brown color, and the embellishment are so full of colores. And ofcours I get reminded of the fact that Christmas is coming up.
So think about the colors and the embellishments or even the shape of gingerbreadhouses and use some of it on a card or a box. And ofcourse there has to be a Charmed downloads on the project."

Okay so I LOVE gingerbread anything....:o}, but this was tough!
I decided to go with the whole "gingerbread house decorating thing..." Lots of yummy embellishments and yummy papers....and a Holiday themed Charmed Download.
Works for me!
The Charmed Image I used is from the Dottie Bumper Christmas Collection and you can get it HERE
Of course Dottie and her snowman friend are colored with copics
The paper is Eskimo Kisses by My Mind's Eye

I wanted to show you two different stickles I used on this card. The Snow is Frosted Lace stickles.....it dries with a rough surface and very little sparkle...perfect for snow. :o)
I used my favorite stickle color-Star Dust on the Snowman and Dotties' buttons. Star Dust has a pearl essence color to it and will pick up any color beneath it. So color with your copics first and then add a dot or two and voila!

Thanks for stopping by today...make sure you check out Dotties World to see what the other designer's came up with for this challenge.

True Friend Recipe

Hello and Happy Thursday!
I really love this card...it took me forever to make! :o}
There are so many different elements/layers to it.
The paper is BoBunny-Kitchen Spice, and so are the buttons and brads
The image is a Tilda, colored in with my copics.
Bling is prima
I also used a couple of border punches....one is MS and the other is SU! Geesh that SU! scallop border punch is such an essential tool...love it!
The sentiment "recipe", and rolling pin that Tilda is sitting on are also magnolia stamps along with the frame stamp...the True Friend sentiment is Close To My Heart.
The white "scalloped" ribbon was Making Memories from a few years ago-I was glad to finally put it to good use!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabby Thursday!

The paper I used is Urban Prairie by Basic Grey, the image is Tilda of course, colored in with copics. Buttons are SU! Flowers are bazzill and bling is Prima.
Ribbon is from my stash.

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #20-Sketch & Texture

It is also Remembrance Day here in Canada...a time to remember all of those who fought for
our freedom, and protection. Please take a moment today to think about all of the courageous soldiers, who helped make Canada the country it is today.

It is Wednesday today and another Truly Scrumptious challenge.
This week's challenge is a sketch by the awesome and so very sweet Dawn.
Here is her sketch:
Sharon has asked that we also add some texture to our cards.
I hate to be a whiner but I had a very hard time photographing this card. :o} Even with my new light box...the colors in the card were causing me a lot of grief!
The card in real life is very pretty, the colors in the paper are very vibrant.
Anyways,
here are the details:
Paper is Basic Grey-Indian Summer
I used a new Martha Stewart border punch-love her new releases!!
I also used rectangle and circle nesties
The sentiment is CTMH-stamped in chocolate and tulip
The brads are CTMH
The fiber, called Sassy Strands is also CTMH

Thanks for looking and make sure you check out the TS blog so you can see what all the other designer's came up with!
